Information notice
On submission of requests for participation in the M-5/E271 Minsk-Gomel 211.5 km – 295 km automobile road (Zhlobin – Gomel section) reconstruction project and taking part in a prequalification meeting scheduled for August 17-19, 2010, Minsk (Republic of Belarus)
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus is engaged in raising a loan from Chinese Export-Import Bank (Exinbank) for the financing of M-5/E271 automobile road, Zhlobin – Gomel section (211.5 km – 295 km) reconstruction project. The stated automobile road is a part of the Trans-European transport corridor Klaipeda – Vilnius – Minsk – Kiev – Odessa.
The section under reconstruction has two traffic lanes with width of carriageway equal to 7 – 7.5m. The project presupposes:
The designed loadof the asphalt concrete road pavementmakes up 11.5 tons per centreline. The construction of road interchanges on the republican automobile roads is projected. The roadbed is planned to be constructed partially from dredged materials and mainly using imported earth from soil banks.
The road sections close to urban areas are planned to be equipped with pedestrian facilities on different levels and sound barriers.
The contracting authority under the reconstruction project is Republican Unitary Enterprise Gomelavtodor of Belavtodor Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The contracting authority invites contractors that are duly registered on the territory of PRC, have work experience with projects of the kind and permission to carry out contracting activities outside PRC under A category projects to submit their requests for participation in the prequalification. Contractors shall submit documents proving contractors’ compliance with Exinbank requirements attached to requests for participation.
