Brief description on the project: Coal-bed gas is a kind of clean fuel energy source. The total reserve of coal-bed gas in Hegang mine region is 34.7 billion m3,there are advantageous drainage conditions and mature drainage technology. In the project, on basis of the present gas drainage and utilization in South Mountain Mine, reconstruction and extension works will be implemented, so to make the utilization scale of drained gas in the mine reach 50 million m3 in every year, increase the quantity of users from 30,000 to 150,000. It is planned to complete the project within three years. The feasibility study report has been prepared and approved.

It has 9 production mines, the annual production ability is 17 million tons; 5 coal dressing plants, the determined ability is 7.8 million tons in every year. The company has one thermal power plant, the total installed capacity is 150,000KW, the annual power-generating ability is 975 million KWH, the heat supply ability is 4 million m2; the annual output of industrial dynamite of the Powder Factory is 18,000 tons, the annual output of electric detonator is 65 million pieces; the annual output of cement factory is 200,000 tons; the reserve of coal-bed gas is 34.7 billion m3. Coal-bed gas was firstly utilized in 1993, a civil fuel gas supply system with supply ability 40,000 m3/day was built.
